If I had to choose one location to shoot all of my photo sessions, this would be the place. The Norfolk Botanical Garden is about an hour from Elizabeth City, but it is so worth the drive. This place is absolutely gorgeous and there are so many beautiful little hideaways that it’s impossible to get it all in. I am so appreciative when my clients understand the value of choosing a good location for their portrait sessions. There’s no “one thing” that makes for a well executed photo shoot, but location is definitely a big part of it. You can have great styling and be a talented photographer, but a spectacular location can take your pictures from good to amazing. Ok, enough about the garden, let me tell you about this awesome family.
The first time I did a photo session for the Storie family was about two years ago. Miss Azlyn was just a couple months old and her four big brothers were so sweet to their new baby sister. Fast forward a couple years and they are still equally sweet to her, but she has definitely become a personality of her own. I got a kick out of seeing her interact with her older bros and seeing her girly side coexist with her tough side. For a family with 5 children, I am always so impressed with what a great job these kids do at getting their pictures taken. I never have a problem getting enough good shots of this beautiful family. I hope you enjoy seeing these as much as I enjoyed taking them!
Poor Azlyn. They tried so hard to get her to sit with them. It wasnt happening.
